Ozzfest And Knotfest - Merging This September

Ozzfest and Knotfest are merging. The two festivals are teaming up for the Ozzfest Meets Knotfest happening this September 24th and 25th in San Bernardino. Saturday's Ozzfest will be headlined by Black Sabbath, marking their last California performance as part of the band's final tour and Sunday's Knotfest bill is topped by the festival's namesake, Slipknot. Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon shared the stage (even though they are divorcing) alongside Corey Taylor to make the announcement at the press conference in Hollywood.

Disturbed draws way more people than Opeth, so it is only natural that they are over Opeth on the bill.

The only good Disturbed songs are the songs not originally by them.

Disturbed is really, really huge in the US, Opeth isn't a small name, but you can walk up to literally anyone in the US and they'll likely have heard about them or at least heard Down With The Sickness, Stricken, or Indestructible once in their life.

I always assumed that Disturbed had less appeal internationally, but really that much of a difference? I'm actually not too surprised.

Don't know why people are surprised by this. Disturbed top charts in the U.S. Even Megadeth is below them, that is more questionable.

Megadeth lower on the bill than Disturbed is not surprising or quesitonable. Megadeth used to be big but isn't anymore. Disturbed is far more popular.

I thought Megadeth was more popular somehow. But I guess Disturbed sells more records and tickets.

I didn't say in a bad way and I'm not even surprised. It's just like Motley Crue: they're huge in USA. Not so much in Europe
