Whitesnake... One of the bands David Coverdale made after leaving Deep Purple. One of the best hard rock bands, too. Songs like In the still of the night, bad boys, looking for love, is this love are classic rock hits and untouched by time! No more introduction is needed.. Discuss them!

The 1987 self titled album, and 1984's Slide It In. The new one is good too.
moust owerated album ewer from band, seems Dave cares more about sexy chick in bad how muisc, ok its not bad but werry eraly WS albums was much better musicaly, lyricaly and how it wa smade
Also song here I Go Again 1982 was much better how 1987 verse
Realy I would say WS till Saints n Sinner are best what they have , even I have no all albums, but I have hear much of those days

Written by Marcel Hubregtse on 19.07.2009 at 15:03 Btw Whitesnke are not and were never glam rock, they did have the hair (but then again so did thrash band back then) Musically they had nothing to do with glam.
Agreed. I can sort of see why some people would class them as that because of their overtly commercial mid-late 80's stuff, but I wouldn't even class that as glam. Yep, a lot of the lyrics are insipid, but musically, you really can't go wrong with stuff like "Fool For Your Lovin'", "Crying In The Rain", "Judgement Day", and "Here I Go Again". xD Definitely a class hard rock act. I wouldn't compare them with glam nonsense like Poison at all.

Well I've seen the band live with Judas Priest but I have recently gotten into them, I'm getting a little bit addicted to them haha...currently hearing them every day...my fav songs right now are: Is this love, Crying in the rain & Here I go again...I haven't bought an album yet, would like you to recommend the best one.

Self-titled. Whitesnake, 1987, whatever you wanna call it. It's got all the goodies, and when I purchased it I got it for $5, which is an awesome price.

From the off-topic DP thread: Written by Valentin B on 07.01.2012 at 18:51 I never said anything about albums, but that song is a glam rock staple, let's face it.
I agree; I mean, maybe on the whole Whitesnake are falsely labeled as a glam band, but the shit I hear on the radio definitely sounds glam to me. And that's not coming from someone who has a negative view of glam or some crusader or anything, just someone who unfortunately hears some rather poor choice in songs on the old radio.

When I saw theme live I was quite astonished when halfway through the drumsolo the drummer threw away his drumsticks and continued the drumsolo with his bare hands.
