In terms of technical ability AND creativity, Mike Patton is objectively the most talented singer in popular music by most measures. However, he's never been my favorite, I'm just not fond of his funk oriented root singing style. Than we have Kyo from Dir En Grey. His versality in singing style is often compared to Mike Patton, and in terms of technical talent he is ALMOST at Patton's level [source]. I've always much preferred Kyo's singing to Pattons, so I'm interested in other people's opinions.
