I sort of feel that some of the songs fall closer to Melodic Death Metal at points, that's far from a bad thing though haha. Absolutely killer album with beautiful melodies.

Why is this band so invisible? People usually compare Semblant to Lacuna Coil but it's way less generic and Sergio Mazul is an actual good vocalist (harsh as well as clean btw). As for Mizuho Lin she's good and has an interesting voice, maybe more mature and deeper that what you'd expect from gothic metal. It's a good album with slow songs and more energetic ones as well as a good production (better than their last album). Now, if they can just stop with that vampire metal thing ...
My favourite songs are Incinerate, The Shrine, Ode of Rejection, Selfish Liar and the catchy The Blind Eye.

Semblant is a very interesting band, but I have this feeling that some songs are kinda ruined by Sergio's vocals.
