Boring riffs, bland song going nowhere. Once again total failure.

I agree 100%!

The song is fine. It works as a first single.

I'm surprised they are releasing a double album though.

I wonder if they can pull off interesting and well written songs across a double album. Maybe there's a concept?

lol I don't know but at least it is surprising. They needed something to keep people interested.

I'll still say Metallica released a decent track. Pretty much listenable and unavoidable. Not to be shabby negating whole record on the basis that band is been complete fuck when it comes to writing music.

I suppose so. People will listen to it just because they're Metallica, but I guess I'm grateful they put some effort in musically. Still upset about the production though.

The size of Ulrich's Ego is directly proportional to the bad sound of the drums... but on the other hand, nothing new under the sun.
The song is okey but just okey. Expecting something really excepcional from Metallica at this point, it is misplaced imo.

Decent song, shit production. Didn't they learn anything from the aural clusterfuck that was Death Magnetic?

Doesn't sound too bad... Simply sounds like Metallica and more than 20 years after quitting following that band I cannot understand why I liked them in the first place (or maybe they used to be a good band in the late 80s and early 90s ?).

That comment was totally useless so please forget about it.

How many songs will it keep people interested for, though?

As for my thoughts: decent song, but James just doesn't have the power in his voice any more for a song of that tempo/aggressivity
