Leaves' Eyes - Premiere Video For New Song
After releasing their new EP, Fires In The North, Leaves' Eyes have debuted the first video from it recently. It's the symphonic metallers' first release with new vocalist Elina Siirala. Apart from three songs from the band's latest album, King Of Kings, in new versions, the title track is a brand new song. I don't really like the new singer. She's just a generic female vocalist, which isn't the right sound for leaves' eyes in my opinion. Liv had a victorian sound to her voice that made it feel like she was really playing the part of a viking women. This girl just sounds like shes singing the words on a paper.

Not great, but not dreadful; a common argument for most symphonic metal acts; even the big names. Siirala does the whole quasi-operatic thing much better than Liv Kristine, at least; more natural and less forced.
