New Album Recommendations 2017
You know the drill, recommend me good metal stuff from 2017. Remember this is not a playlist or promotion place, it should be stuff you have HEARD ATLEAST ONCE which means it is not just stuff YOU think is good but something that OTHERS should find good and enjoy as well. 
Death metal from Portugal. Sounds more closely to Disma than anything else to my ears. Quite melodic and groovy. It's hard to judge anything from a single but yeah this seems like something that is worth keeping an eye on.

Didn't even realize they were working on new material Edit: Songs sounds pretty messy and the production is rather chaotic (even for Pyrrhon). Sounds more in line with Running Out Of Skin (which I find to be their worst release) rather than the far far superior Mother Of Virtues. Hopefully the full release proves to be more coherent.

Ascendant - A Thousand Echoes I've lstened to a bunch of average power metal albums so far this year but this is actually a very good power metal album imo. It's from the United Arab Emirates. Good vocals and very solid musicianship. Overall production is really good as well.

The new Jordablod album sounds pretty cool. Black metal with some melodic and death influences spread about. Almost sounds like a more accessible Negative Plane given the production style.

It's like a shoegaze instrumental version of CoF. Not unlike certain happy riffs on Death. Really uplifting, the description on it is quite accurate: Let the music transport you back to more carefree time, when the biggest magic was happiness That sounds super cheesy but fuck it, THEM RIFFS!
