I wouldn't know how non-native Dutch people would take this, as the lyrics are made up of... forgotten Dutch vocabulary indented with olden slang. Especially the spoken and whispered words are quite originally poetic and take up structured prose. I believe the only unfortunate thing about this is that not that many people can enjoy it to its fullest intentions, as the language itself plays a very large part in this.
