Ne Obliviscaris - Recording New Album

After a lot of touring, Aussies Ne Obliviscaris are finally back in the studio to record the successor to Citadel released back in 2014. The band's third album, due out later in the year, is being recorded as of now, with drums already finished and guitars being tracked. The extreme progressive metallers promise to give regular updates.

Earlier this year, the band parted ways with bassist Brendan "Cygnus" Brown.

The drummer doesn't look very happy. Anyhow, looking forward to this. Their sophomore effort was actually kind of a let down for me, so let's see if they manage to shape things up!

Wonder if any of the songs from the 2 EPs will make it to this release or not.

2 albums and 2 EPs is not a lot to go by but still, these guys have delivered the goods thus far so there is no reason to set the bar low for this one. The only variable is Cygnus's replacement. Nonetheless, looking forward to it.

Probably not. They made the two EPs available with a donation on Patreon. I hopped on that immediately and would recommend other fans of the band do so as well. Also, apparently they are comprised of songs that the band wrote previous to their demo, so the album will likely be all new material.
