Even without knowing where this band came from you already feel it's Finland, the homeland of gothic metal. Without any fear of being unoriginal, Lullacry took 90% Sentenced, added 10% of their classic hard rock influences, and of course beautiful female vocalist with a russian name Tanya. For justice's sake I must add that she's not only good looking, but also an awesome singer - though it takes some time to get used to her unique voice.

'Be My God' is not very different from their debut CD, 'Sweet Desire' - the same melancholic guitar-driven gothic metal, well, maybe even a little more dynamic and aggressive than usual gothic metal... The only thing they added since the first album is some piano here and there. However, in all it traditionality, it's not a bad album at all - I actally like it quite a lot. It has this 'little something', that you can't even describe, but what attracts you to some band without any visible reason - exactly the same way I feel about Sentenced...
