Intestine Baalism is a melodic death metal band from Japan. They have released 2 albums, "An Anatomy Of The Beast" (1997) and "Banquet In The Darkness" (2003).

Both of these albums are great, and unique. This band really shows that music can be brutal and melodic at the same time. They're the perfect example of this actually. Another thing that really sets their music apart is the unique solo's they play. They were supposedly working on a forthcoming album, but no news has been heard on that for awhile now.

So, anyone else have some thoughts?

Man, it's been a while since I've listened to these guys. Japan has a decent metal scene nowadays, especially when it comes to extreme metal. I think I own Banquet in the Darkness, but I honestly can't remember. One thing that's always annoyed me is their name....it's not grammatically correct! Oh well, at least the music is good.

I had no idea that they'll be releasing a new album this year. I guess that's something to look forward to, especially because this year sucks for new music.

Their name is a tad offputting, but hey its metal...shit happens:P

Hope the new album is out soon, though I doubt it.
