Ihsahn - Premiere New Song And Video
Shortly after revealing the details of his upcoming solo album, Ihsahn has now shared the first new song and video from it! You can now discover the tune "Arcana Imperii" and hear an excerpt from the upcoming opus, Ámr. The song also features a guitar solo by Opeth's Fredrik Åkesson. What do you think about the song?
"As with previous albums, I've tried to maintain a certain diversity throughout Ámr, with every track having a somewhat individual identity," says Ihsahn. "So, as a first introduction, I felt Arcana Imperii contained several key elements from the whole album and was a logical choice as first single and video."
The new album is due to be released on May 4th via Candlelight/Spinefarm.

Sounds like he's going for Arktis. v1.01. Oh well, I half expected a decent record rather than a brilliant one.

Arktis was a let down. Too commercial for my taste and not really prog. Seems like Ihsahn will follow up on the same pattern. I will check this album, but not expecting it to be any better.

It's a nice track, but that solo is definitely the highlight for me. Akesson sure knows how to craft a tasty solo.
