Sabaton - Announce 'The Great Tour' Over Europe In 2020
It has been known for a while that Sabaton's The Great War will be upon us very soon. The upcoming full length from Swedish warriors is coming out on July 19th. Today, the group has revealed a full headlining tour, bringing The Great War to many cities in Europe. On the road, Sabaton will have strong support in Apocalyptica and Amaranthe.
Statement from Sabaton: "It is with great anticipation that we can finally reveal that 'The Great Tour' is also coming to arenas in Europe. We wish it was already January the 17th and we entered the stage at "Hallenstadion" in Zürich, but time will pass quickly.
"You know by now how much we care about the bands we choose to bring with us on tour, this is no exception. Amaranthe is a rising star on the metal sky bringing such energy and passion rarely seen on stage and will open the evening.
"After that comes the big surprise for a lot of people who are not familiar with the cello rock band Apocalyptica, but trust us that their emotional show will definitively create magic in the arenas.
"Finally, we are bringing with us our biggest touring production we have ever done? and we promise to deliver a show you could have never imagined? and the biggest announcement regarding this tour is still to come?"

Sat 8th Feb in London, eh? .... just down the road from the Rage/ Serenity gig on the same night, while Bristol are hosting Delain, which I already have a ticket for. UK Symph/Power metal fans are a bit thin on the ground these days as it is, so the timing could have been better...
---- First gig was Manowar (loincloths 'n' all), Bristol Colston Hall in March 1983, on the 'Hail to England' tour. Tickets were £3.75, 300 in the audience, Mercyful Fate never showed, but my hearing still got seriously trashed..
