I liked their previous album, but this is on a whole other level. Impressive! Definitely Progressive Death Metal, not Symphonic Folk.

Written by Risto on 04.11.2019 at 16:54 Right. This is progressive death metal. It's copy/paste Opeth to the same extent that all doom bands are copy/paste Sabbath. The influence is obviously there, but it really cheapens such a good album to act as if this is just cookie cutter stuff.

Written by Risto on 04.11.2019 at 16:54 It's not a copy+paste, but there's definitely a few moments that borrow heavily from Opeth (the part you mentioned, ending of Tyranny of Imagination, a few others I can't remember just now) Still a really solid album though

Amazing album, at the same level as Sleep ... It must be heard as a whole; definitely a piece of art.  I don't think they completely left the folk influences. Although they do not use the instruments present in the previous works (mandolin, autoharp), there are many melodies, vocal lines, that are still folk. Highlights for me (difficult to choose only some tracks): The Unimaginable Zero Summer, O Resolution!, Sleeping Ambassadors Of The Sun and Scentless Core (Fading).
