exactly. I think the tendency will be to compare to to BI simply because of the first track's length. I agree with you though, this has as much old-school Voivod in it as it does BI (probably more, just "death metal-ized")

Even it's sound from a production standpoint especially for dm is a dime-a-dozen Bandcamp weak pile in the average 8's bin.

I hear some Vektor influences yet I don't find any thrash metal in the album. All I hear is good quality death metal. But the songs do tend to get a bit boring after a few listens.
