So...I accidentally discovered a Finnish industrial act Turmion Kätilöt(Midwives of Destruction)..
I can't say I'm personally a huge fan of that kind of music but this band has something that makes them outstandingly catchy....I don't know much of them but they seem to love disturbing things, self mutilation, extreme piercing and things like that....according to their image they seem to be in the cathegory of lovely "monster" bands....sometimes the vocals remind Slipknot but in this case Turmion Kätilöt is without any doubt better than Slipknot....to be honest....like a mixture of Slipknot, Deathstars and Rammstein with some slight Mary Manson touch in it....overall...a fairly strong act....

Well...the main reason I pointed out the similarities with these bands was that I'm more acquainted with these....knew them before and therefore Tuomion Kätilöt sounded familiar...but all in all...the first impression they left me was positive....

You seem to be more familiar with their stage attitude then....I've seen so far outrageous hairdos, piercings and heavy cow chains hanging from breasts.....but hey....at least the audience won't be splashed with blood like Gothic Sex used to do.....

I'd not heard of this band before either - I quite like their music , although some of it is a bit 'techno'.

According to my musical adviser the best album is "Hoitovirhe" (malpractise).
It seems to be more 'metal' .

I also heard that they had a court case against them - soemthing about a sex act on stage ?
They seem like a fun band :p

About the sex act on stage... I'm not sure about the accurate details on the incident but it had something to do with a blowjob that the lead singer received from an S/M porn actress. This wouldn't have been such a big deal if the show had had an age limit - there were many underage people in the audience witnessing the whole scene.

Well....Gothic Sex used splatter elements and bondage and SM as well but here it seems that Turmion Kätilöt is on a much...khm....higher level of disturbances.....I looked up some live videos....it seems they love extreme piercings and...was it just me or did they really attach heavy chains to their....private parts?

Great band, very catchy.

I've only heard one song someone used in a World of Warcraft video, called Destination Hades, and it's heavy stuff, I can'0t wait to listen some more of their stuff.

Hmm I thought I'd already posted here. Guess I haven't.

I've have listened to a fairly large part of their discography and I like some and some is crap or at least not my cup of tea. Their music varies from really heavy to really electronic...some of their songs are almost purely industrial trance.
I can't name a favourite song, 'cause that depends heavily on my mood when listening.

Well it's a very... shall we say "wide" band? While some songs are heavy as fuck, some are very electro-techno-trance-younameit. It's still pretty cool, but it's kind of... weird that there's not lik ea defined genre for the band, are they industrial metal? are they Hellektro/EBM?, Plain Industrial?

I just started listening to these guys and I think they are amazing. I'm just dissapointed that I didn't know about them earlier. I personally find thier wide range of musical style to be a very good thing because it spans the majority of my personal musical interrest. This is the type of band that I would love to see live! (Blowjobs and all)

Not entirely accurate, nobody in the band "recieved" anything, they had hired two porn actors for some BDSM spanking during "Kärsi" ("Suffer") but they went the whole way without the band knowing it before. They seem to regret it in interviews, talking about their parents' reaction and stuff :p Seems like a bunch of nice guys, at least off stage.
