Update Oct. 23, 2020: The bands issued the following statement via their FB page:

"While it's not a huge surprise with the state of things, we just want to remain clear that this current North American tour is officially canceled.

We do have new US booking representation and are working on a new updated North American tour plan. If you've bought your tickets refunds will be from where you purchased them ( venue, ticketmaster, etc).

We deeply apologize to our fans for the circumstances and the trouble of having to go through the refund process. This isn't something we wanted to happen. We just want to play live music for you and are working hard to make that happen. We appreciate the understanding and support. We will continue to keep you all informed of upcoming news and information."

After revealing new album details and first single two weeks ago, Dark Tranquillity now announce (one of the rare ones) a massive touring scheduled over North America. The 46-date long trek is planned to kick off in early September in Pennsylvania, make several stops in Canada, and run through late October. Support will come from German tech death metal unit Obscura and death doomers Nailed To Obscurity.

"It's hard to even imagine this happening," say Dark Tranquillity, given the global pause on touring due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "But I really hope so and it's going to be very, very awesome. It's been a while and it will be a while still, but we're coming back to America. Obscura and Nailed To Obscurity will be with us and we cannot wait to hit the stages with these awesome bands and see you all again. Let's make sure things get back to normal and that this can happen. We miss you and cannot wait to get to share our music with you again."

Steffen Kummerer of Obscura comments, "Obscura are coming back to North America! Don't miss the North American Moment Tour, secure your tickets, and be part of the shows!"
