There's been no stream on Winamp for the last couple weeks and nobody answered my inquiry on the MSR site forum. Did the RIAA royalties thing cause it to shut down?

Do RIAA royalties apply to websites that are not based in America?

Recording Industry Association of America, which got the Corporate Royalties Board to jack up royalties in internet radio 300%.

Seeing how this site is from Estonia I don't think that RIAA can do anything about it.

The site itself may be based in Estonia but I believe the station stream is/was based in the US.

Ye sit was fadekiller was responsible for radio and thay had its own server

I haven't seen fadekiller on Metalstorm for a long while...if he's still around somewhere on this huge rock we call mother earth, you can chat it up with him and therein lies your answer...I don't think you'll be able to get a hold of him because he's pretty much done and gone from Metalstorm...

...and have posted almost double the amount of posts I have during the time I've been here which is scary

I believe fadekiller is on MS once every three months or something. He's probably busy with more useful things than a forum.

I sent him an email thru his listed email address, but thus far no reply....

It's like he dropped off the face of the earth.

I guess another great metal station has become the latest casualty of the RIAA/Sound Extortion bullshit. It's been over a dozen now that have dropped off Winamp alone this year.

GODDAMNIT this pisses me off!!!!

No MS are more for some ppl hmm reason to live, no more how reason to live

Fadekiller is based in US and his stream is thus from there. MS Radio was removed from MS Site due to many reasons.

as for the stream going down, you can check on the MS RAdio website for any info. or send Fadekiller a PM/email (scott@metalstormradio.com)

but if memory serves me right Fade is on vacation in Europe (last i chatted with him on MSN he mentioned that he will be going for a Europe tour for 2 weeks. maybe this is why it is off now.
