I've been listening to the full length on their myspace bit by bit over the last few days and it definitely kicks ass like I thought it would. My only complaint, like Marcel, is that I liked the production a bit more on their demo as it was more bass-heavy and a tad more clear, but I enjoy this gift nonetheless. I'll see if I can pick it up when it comes out.

Tomorrow is D-Day. Hopefully Hail Of Bullets first ever gig won't be a bridge too far in Arnhem.
Can't wait to go.

I will, hopefully with pictures (but no guarantees there) apparently the gig is sold-out with a capacity crowd of only 300, so that's nice and small.

This band is absolutely brilliant! I'm seeing them live @ de Zwarte Cross, in a month. I love their old-school attitude.

This confuses me, why do so many vocalists get compared to Lemmy? Its getting out of hand, Matt Pike being compared to Lemmy is understandable. But now Im hearing him being compared to Thebon from Keep Of Kalessin and Van Drunen of Hail Of Bullets? It seems any vocals the least bit throaty are being compared to Lemmy now.

Totally weird I agree. Van Drunen sounding like Lemmy? Huh? Are people deaf? Okay so Van Drunen also sings a throaty but I have never heard Lemmy growl like Van Drunen does are scream like Van drunen does as well.

What people don't realize is Lemmy is just a slightly harsher blues singer pretty much, he doesn't really growl at all, unless you consider his vocal work on 'Orgasmatron' growling. He can't really be compared to Van Drunen because they're both in totally different worlds, its like comparing chocolate cake with a hamburger.

Hail of Bullets studio update
So we are almost finished with the sessions for the new Hail of Bullets studio album. We've been pretty busy these past few months, especially Ed who was and still is working his ass off handling all recording and editing chores. But we're not too far removed from finishing all the work! Martin will do vocals in a few weeks at Excess Studios where we also recorded the drums last month. Everything else was recorded at Ed's home studio, the aptly named Warbunker. Mixing and mastering will once again be in the capable hands of mister Dan Swanö, crushing heaviness guaranteed!"
New HoB on it's way!

Although I like Of Frost And War I prefer the 2007 Promo cause the production is more bass heavy on that one. but that is my only gripe about the full-length though.
Soooo.... You're saying that I did well when just an hour ago I bought the debut without even thinking about it (since I only checked the myspace once) just because I heard good things about it and knew the guys that were involved?
I'll have low expectations just in case, but I'm happy that I got a limited edition, the cd looks like a vinyl! pretty cool.

I really like this band. I always liked Van Drunen...since I got the Consuming Impulse album by Pestilence.
