Although there is an existing thread concerning there reunion, I was unable to find a thread soley designated to NWOBHM/Doom band Witchfinder General.
I have "Death Penalty" and its right good...if you like early doom metal and by some chance haven't heard these guys, this stuff is definately worth a listen.

Yeah, these guys are good...I find they sound too much like Black Sabbath in places but they have their own original twist on it...

I haven't heard too many songs, but I like them. Just like most traditional doom metal bands I've heard, they sound similar to Black Sabbath. I need to get one of their albums...
edit: Wow, I listened to more of it, and while I still like it, they copy Sabbath a little too blatantly.

Witchfinder General fucking kill. I also prefer Death Penatly over Friends of Hell, but both albums are classics. Needs way more fans.

@K7:  Oh yes, I LOVE the album covers haha. That's probably why they wouldn't be as accessable...... But Vibrationsofdoom calls for RealPlayer  . I've heard them before and like them, but that was through their myspace page [where the songs CANNOT be downloaded] .

They are all good. But Death Penalty is imo their best followed by this year's one (Resurrected)
