Can't believe there hasn't been a topic about one of metal's most extreme bands.

Discog:

Anaal Nathrakh (demo) - 1999
Total Fucking Necro (demo) - 1999
The Codex Necro - 2001
Total Fucking Necro (comp.) - 2002
When Fire Rains Down From The Sky, Mankind Will Reap As It Has Sown (EP) - 2003
Domine Non Es Dignus - 2004
Eschaton - 2006
Hell Is Empty And All The Devils Are Here - 2007

Personally, I think their newest offering, Hell Is Empty..., is their best album since The Codex Necro.

That must have been the NO Mercy festival most probably, because they have never done a club tour apparently. Just played at festivals.

Well not until last year/this year then... because they supported Marduk on tour earlier this year in clubs. I saw them...

Aha, maybe they meant their first headliner tour then. Ah well seeing them in a small club is certainly a good thing.

I've seen them before and they were mediocre. But that was at a festival, so it's not really comparable to a club show.

I have seen them before and they where not good. And it was in a club.
But...that was several years ago, I didn't know them well and they didn't sound like I imagined.

Yes it was. I wanted to see them but I didn't stay for the whole set.

I don't know man. I'm not tooo happy with this one. The last two were fucking brilliant though. I heard this one two times and I'm like "mehhhh..."

Maybe I should hear it more.

I had the same feeling, specially coz I found the sound "too clear". But then I thought it was still sick stuff, I like the fact the song structure between songs are very diferent and the bethlehem-dude song is unbelievably awesome. The clean vocals also improved alot (they weren't bad, but now they just better )

Overall, album I likes alot, like anything AN did.

It took me about a week to actually start the enjoyment process of the album. His vocals have gotten extremely better. Have you checked out the side project Professor Fate?

Ooh the songs on Youtube for that Professor Fate thing sound niec. Cool cover art too, definitely seen that before somewhere.

Damn, that album is excellent. Very cool track with Garm on vocals. Think Arcturus without the metal:

Well, I just checked Professor Fate and it's pretty good actually. Still have to listen moar but I seem to really enjoy ony a few tracks. Sometimes the vocals are... not of my taste (guest ones mostly)
Oh, and it was cool to see it is Irrumator's project, he has fine voice too

I do think it would have been better if Garm had done the vocals for every song. I have no complaints with the other ones though personally.

If you listen to the album, he has a lot of the same sound that Garm has. The album reminds me of Blood Inside.

Yeah his style works well with Garm's. Tis a wicked good album though. I prefer it to everything Nathrakh have done since Codex Necro if I'm honest.
