Can't believe there hasn't been a topic about one of metal's most extreme bands.

Discog:

Anaal Nathrakh (demo) - 1999
Total Fucking Necro (demo) - 1999
The Codex Necro - 2001
Total Fucking Necro (comp.) - 2002
When Fire Rains Down From The Sky, Mankind Will Reap As It Has Sown (EP) - 2003
Domine Non Es Dignus - 2004
Eschaton - 2006
Hell Is Empty And All The Devils Are Here - 2007

Personally, I think their newest offering, Hell Is Empty..., is their best album since The Codex Necro.

I love this band. Their intensity is nearly unmatched. My favorite of theirs is a tie between "Domine Non Es Dignus" and "Hell Is Empty And All The Devils Are Here".

The black/grindcore combination that Anaal Nathrakh plays works very well! It was a friend of mine that got me into them, he sent me "Procreation Of The Wretched" and i was amazed. Personally, my favorite one is "Domine Non Es Dignus". Right now i'm going to make my wishlist and certainly Anaal Nathrakh albums will be included.

Have you heard all of their stuff? I say this, because, while I like Domine..., it's my least favorite album of theirs.

It's insanely good. It's not in the vein of Domine..., but I think you'd love it.

Anaal Nathrakh has been one of my favorite bands for a while. I'd say my favorite album is Domine Non Es Dignus, but all of their stuff is great. I still haven't heard the new one though, and I've been doing my best to not download it. I thought it was supposed to come out a week or two ago, but I haven't been able to find it anywhere.

I got it on iTunes to pass the time before my actual copy gets here.

I'd suggest ordering from the FETO website.

Their new album has many aspects ( meaning that there is alot of variety on the new album ) without loosing brutality, its indeed very focused and recommended for all. Domine Non Es Dignus is also an amazing album...

I like the new album very much indeed. It has a lot of melody whilst still retaining it's blackened grind brutality (to an extent anyway). There seems to be a lot of almost novelty elements in the album but it seems to work quite well but I guess it is Anaal Nathrakh we're talking about. They're clearly no longer the ultra-brutal unlistenable band they used to be though but I don't think it's a bad thing.

I usually like this black/grind idea, but this band turns boring after a while... for this level of violence I actually prefer to listen to some straight grindcore bands that produce a far more nasty atmosphere, not just repetitive blasting.

Total Fucking Necro and The Codex Necro are extremely grind/black. The first signs of epic elements/clean vocals come at Domine Non Es Dignus!
