Quo Vadis is the best technical death metal band of all time in my opinion. They have great drumming from Yanic Bercier the riffs and solos are amazing and they have one of the best players ever not to mention the growls are amazing. My favorite album from them is Day Into Night but my favorite song is Break the Cycle what are everyone elses opinions on the band?
Also they have an amazing triple DVD called Defiant Indoctirine anyone who likes the band should definently check it out.

lol yeah ask wintersun

That was funny! I read somewhere that Quo Vadis are going to do an album that goes by the tentative title of "But Who Prays For Satan?" in 2011. What are you saying about delays and such?

What is going on with this band? Weren't they supposed to release an album this year? I cant find any NEW news about it...

I'm pretty sure the release date is TBA. There's still a few months before the end of the year, and it wouldn't be the first time an album was delayed.

Well I know, lol but the weird thing is that they released 2 whole songs for listening (without vocals though) like more than a year ago, and since then nothing...

Welcome to the club. I'm waiting Necrophagist's album since 2009, and I'm waiting this one as well.

Only thing I remember from this band is song called "From the shores of Ithaka" (or something like that) that I learned on my guitar aeons ago. But if they arise back I'd certainly check them out. I'm curious if they won't sink nowadays among many other stuff.

I know I should be listening to new releases and catching up on 2011 albums I said I'd listen to that I still haven't bothered with, but all I can do tonight is sit around blaring Day Into Night and Defiant Imagination.

Yeah...those 2 are by far their most famous and imo also their best 2 songs...

@psychoticone i'm playing bass guitar and i have to say i really like their stuff, it's fun to play, complicated but it sounds great too (especially "defiant imagination" - by the master himself, Steve DiGiorgio with his ESP F-series fretless 5-string, which i honestly have to admit i can't play as good as Steve YET xD). It's been two years since they announced the release of a new album...still nothing yet, and their entire line up has changed in the meantime :S

I'm definitely in the club too...why are they making us wait so much? I wonder if they're ever realeasing them

Supposedly both will be out this year. Personally I have more hope for Quo Vadis than Necrophagist at this point, but even then I wouldn't be surprised if both were pushed back to 2013.

At least Quo Vadis have a working title and a new song... although it's not really new anymore.

Amen. Can't go wrong listening to Quo Vadis - even if it means shirking some responsibilities.

Yeah but forget about it guys, the Quo Vadis you all know is long gone... they're not what they used to be, the band is not the same and I can assure you that the next release by this band, if it ever comes... will not be Quality like we used to have. Trust me. Extreme Line-up changes often means a change of spirit and music... and im afraid this will not be for the best, oh no

Where'd they go? As long as Frydrychowicz's still composing the songs their style shouldn't change dramatically. Just because he let some musicians go doesn't mean he's pulling a Cryptopsy.
