Vegard Bakken, brother of Valfar. They performed a few Windir songs together. Due to health problems I wasn't able to draft up a review about it, but it should be up by the end of the month.

I would have loved to have heard the Windir songs live.

Not as being there yourself, but probably the closest you can get to it
Why is someone in the crowd of The Vision Bleak holding cardboard with something Lovecraftian on it? Never knew The Vision Bleak had anything to do with Lovecraft. Hahahaha
Yeah Vreid dd quite a few shows in April and there abouts with Vegard Bakken and then playng Windir songs.
Awesome shots. This is a festival I have always wanted to attend. Suidakra's little stuffed animal is hilarious, I love when bands do that sort of thing
(So.. why are Van Canto there? They doing a cappella viking metal now instead? WTF...)
What are all those instruments that Skyforger have? There are a lot of different ones there.
They performed two shows at the festival, a metal show in support of their new album Kurbads and an entirely acoustic show which is pictured above. I'm not really familiar with their armamentarium, but my guess would be that the instrument in picture 14990 is a ģīga and the one in 14992 is a kokle. The other instruments should be some varieties of tambourines, pipes and drums.
