Sea Bastard

Sea Bastard are a doom band from Brighton on the south coast of the UK formed in July 2011 from the ashes of two Brighton doom bands, Jovian and Funeral Hag and their sound is a fusion of the two bands' styles; the uncompromising lethargy of Jovian meeting the groove of Funeral Hag.

The band recorded a demo in October 2011 and played their first gig on Halloween withdoom legends Pagan Altar

Eindhoven Metal Meeting 2015 - First Bands Announced

Samael, Necrophobic, and Gehennah are the first acts that have been confirmed for the seventh edition of the Eindhoven Metal Meeting festival, set to take place on December 11th and 12th, 2015 at the Effenaar venue in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. 29 more bands will still be added to the line-up.

Moonspell - Preview All Tracks On New Album

Portugal's own Moonspell will release their new album, Extinct, on March 17th in North America and a few days earlier in Europe via Napalm Records. They have previously released three songs from the album, which is pretty generous. Korn - Being Sued By Former Drummer David Silveria

According to TMZ, founding Korn drummer David Silveria is suing his former band claiming his 2006 departure from the group was just a hiatus and that he was ready to return to the band in 2013 but they turned him away. Furthermore, David Silveria claims he still has ownership interest in Korn, and is looking for his cut of the band's profits since he left.

The Living Fields

In the autumn of 2002, The Living Fields was born as an outlet for guitarist Jason Muxlow's doom inclinations and populist beliefs. Fed up with both the tuneless brutality of the late '90s and right-wing idiocy pouring out of the metal community after September 11th, work began on initial compositions with the intent to combine doom-fueled songwriting with the progressive politics metal once stood for.

2003
The music progressed quickly, and before long, Muxlow was looking for a partner to bring a voice to the score. Jon Higgs was contacted on the basis of his energetic vocal performance with Monsterworks, but it was his similar world view and undiluted passion for metal that ultimately sealed the deal. Within weeks, Higgs had cut vocals for the newly-christened Empires Fall, and though far from perfect, the song clearly had legs. Higgs also proved dead-on lyrically, and both The Miseries Never Cease and A Leveling Spirit grew out of the ensuing enthusiasm.

Act Of Defiance - Former Megadeth Members Announce New Band Label, Teaser

After leaving Megadeth, guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover announced that they had formed a new band together. This new band is now taking shape. The duo are now announcing their worldwide signing to Metal Blade Records for their new group Act Of Defiance, which is rounded out by Henry Derek (ex-Scar The Martyr) on vocals and Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall) on bass. They are currently recording their debut offering with renowned producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, Shadows Fall). Look for this album to be released sometime this summer. In the meantime, listen below to a sneak peek into a rough demo snippet of the track "Throwback."

Battle Beast - Guitarist Anton Kabanen Out Of The Band

Having just released a new album called Unholy Savior, Battle Beast is facing a big line-up change. After long and heavy consideration, the band has decided to go separate ways with guitarist Anton Kabanen. This is due to musical disagreements and various other unsolvable issues within the band. Kabanen has stated he will be continuing making music with other projects. The band will not be giving interviews concerning the topic. Ouch! Meanwhile, a temporary guitarist has been engaged for the upcoming shows.

Magnum - Releasing New Live Album

British prog rockers Magnum are releasing a new live album which was recorded at selected venues from their successful Escape From The Shadow Garden European tour in the spring of 2014. The set list comprises songs chosen from 7 of their 18 studio albums, the band have produced this album so that fans can fully appreciate the songs penned from Magnum's beginning, in the 1970s, right up to the present day.
