Band profile:

Blind Guardian
Blind Guardian are one of the biggest metal band in the world, and so it was only fitting for them to have a top slot on their return to Bloodstock after playing at the indoor festival in 2002. I got the chance to have a talk with André before the show. This is how it went.

Part 1

Part 2

A full review of Bloodstock Open Air 2009 can be found here:
Day 1 - Day 2 - Day 3
Blind Guardian played on the second day.

Many thanks to André for his time, and also Adam Sagir for arranging it.
Conducted and edited by Barry Anderson, recorded by Richard Anderson.

Awesome interview Baz! Better than Nightfall? I can only hope! I'd love them see return to their roots, we'll see. Good job man!

It was interesting listening to that interview. I am going to listen to some Blind Guardian in a little bit (well, at least I plan on it. Blind Guardian is a great band).

Thumbs up on the interview. BG is more a hit or miss for me, so I enjoyed hearing André's perspective on the band's progress, particularly album to album and how the band reflects on feedback or ignores it. And of course the best thing about the video interviews is getting a long chance to see his personality, which seems a calm one. Good stuff

No new album until end of next year?...

Enjoyable interview none-the-less though.
