After a dark, pulsating intro with samples, we're in for thrash/death. Italy really, really has a shitload of bands playing all the spectrum of this subgenre, and Endless Pain are quite aggressively minded, as far as thrash is concerned of course.

These guys are not really beginners in the metal field, as they have several demos, EP, and lives under their belt, plus three albums. But let's spoil the suspense already: they are as average as can be. So many different bands, yet they all sound the same... And talking about clichés and overdone stuff, all the songs are about grisly murders that really happened in Italy. Now that was original!

The music itself isn't bad, actually. At least the fast parts are good, some riffs are catchy and aggressive enough ("The Prophet"); the slower parts, however, tend to be quickly boring and drag everything down. And there are too much of them if you ask me. Some songs have quite a death metal edge, thanks to the growls ("Dead End Nightmare"), and that actually adds some nice spice to the mix. On the whole, these guys know how to handle their instruments - a good point for them - even if it's not outstanding. The sound ain't great, however, with the relatively uninteresting drums on the front and the guitars a bit drowned in the mix.

All in all, that's another headbangable, forgettable, average release that will go unnoticed because, well, you've already heard it all before.
