04. Ain't No Sunshine [Bill Withers cover]
05. Zombi Powder
06. Cosecha De Sangre

Let's play a game. To start you will need the latest Dopethrone album, a two-four of your favourite brewskis and a nice comfy couch. Here are the rules, whenever you hear a slow, down tuned riff, take a sip, whenever you hear some spaced-out ambience, take a sip. Whenever you hear a pounding drum beat, take a sip. If you're not passed out by the end of this? well? You must be Charlie Sheen.

The latest record from the French trio is indeed a stoner masterpiece; short and sweet, you have your heavy distortion, your rock-styled drum beats, and even (occasionally) you classic stoner vocals. Now you're probably thinking, "So? I've heard this before, what makes it so special?" If you take a listen, you'd find out that there really isn't anything special. That was anti-climactic now wasn't it? But the fact that this album is similar to a lot of other albums does not "lower its score" in any way, shape or form.

Why? Simply because this album is a perfect representation of the genre itself, when a friend asks you what stoner metal is, you say "Go listen to Dopethrone." This is the real deal.

The music itself is crunchy and just a little bit raunchy, as if you dropped a cheesie under you couch for a month. Heavily distorted guitars compel your head to bang, relentless drums pound you like the desert sun, and vocals send shivers up your spine. Overall, this is a fantastic release, however not the most original. Stoner at its best.

Highlight - "Zombi Powder"

Probably the most delayed Charlie Sheen joke I've come across.

You said 'couch' twice in the same review. Kudos

But seriously, your review flowed nicely enough for me. I don't know if ''stoner masterpiece'' is correctly used there, considering your rating? Unless you meant it in that it gives you exactly what you look for in a stoner metal album? Apart from that little niggle, might give this album a look see, so cheers
