First of all I would like to say that I love when unsigned bands put effort in their work, a clear example of this is Ever Since. And why is that? Because the presentation here is flawless, a nice DigiPak with a great booklet and a press folio, I'm impressed.

But they can send me gold in the package and still they won't get extra points from me, so let's go on to what really matters: the music. What Ever Since is doing here is a mixture of Gothic, Death and Black Metal or more commonly referred as Dark Metal. The Death Metal part comes mainly from the harsh vocals, the violins as we all know are almost a trademark of Gothic music, the music? Melodic, no too speedy, guitars play a big role here, leaving behind the keyboards and the violin.

This album has been a fun listen I swear, but there's something missing, maybe a little more of aggression? Maybe more tracks like "Who'll Save Us", the most aggressive track in the Cd, but of course, not the only good track in the album, other great tracks are "Heart Of Ice" and "A Letter For The lady Who Haunts My Nights" (phew.. big title)

So we have the combination of harsh vocals with somewhat less-aggressive music, does it mix well? Yes it does. It need some work? Yes it does. So, should I place my bet on this guys? Sure I will!
