If You think that Invocator is a new band, you're awfully mistaken, these guys are a veterans in the business, according to my sources Invocator was formed in 1989, and after a 6 years break up, they came up with this, their fifth album thus far.

After short intro, some chunky riffs make their way in, but this is just a welcome riff, because this chunky one, fades and opens the gate to the REAL riff, that comes pounding it's way, I know is sound strange, so you just might have to listen the song to understand what I'm saying here?

As you might have guessed, killer riffs sure mean a lot for these guys, because every song is very varied, and the diversity of the guitar lines and riffs are awesome, with songs of approximately 5 minutes, you have to have some special quality to maintain your listeners interested, don't you?

I really liked this album, the ever-changing riffs and the aggression of the vocals are just great, I spotted some progressive moments over here and over there that just made my day! Influences are clear, old school trash, but with a modern touch, take Testament, add Nevermore, and mix it with a pinch of Corrosion Of Conformity, there you have it: Invocator.

I could mention some of the killing songs, but I really liked them all, but if you must know, I have a weak spot for the title song "Through The Flesh To The Soul" , "On My Knees" , "There's No Savior" and "Writhe In Spit".

Killer album, really. Modern Old-School Trash, (I know, it sounds weird), but I like to refer Invocator as that. Get this one or die. Did a mention that the album has an amazing cover art?

This is modern old school trash... I must absolute disagree.
For me it's modern Thrash Metal, i hate Trash Metal. I ignore Trash Metal, no matter if old school or modern, i do not want listen to metal, that is trash. I wonder, that people like trash music...

But Thrash Metal is a very fine thing, that never becomes boring to me.
