"Stigma" is a Death/Core metal band from Italy. This combo was created in 2000 and after a lot of gigs, this young band [the average components' age is 19] come with their first demo "Metamorphosis". "Stigma" use to do brutal music and this first cd will show, how their music can be aggressive but also melodic and at the end very interesting.

Firstly I will talk about the artwork of the cd. I must be honest, for an auto-production there is a great job. The digipack of "Metamorphosis" is very good, with good pictures very dark in black and white colours. Same for the booklet with all the lyrics and also good pictures. Well I must congratulate the band because they have done a great work and it's very unusual for a demo.
For the music, evidently for a Death/Core metal band well? this is very brutal. All the four tracks of the cd are very good with a very good musical structure, very aggressive and heavy, but the good point is that the cd is also very "audible" [for a brutal production] for guys who do not listen only that kind of music. Because we can find a lot of parts who are not without some good melodic point. And really, I think it's a good point. "Stigma" do a brutal music for sure, but they are also good writers to give to "Metamorphosis" a chance to be appreciated by a lot of people.
The lyrics are also good, and in addiction with the fact that the musicians and singer of "Stigma" are also very correct then you understand that we are here with a very good demo of brutal music.
The production is also correct this is not the better point of the album, yes this not a real professional work, but the sound is however very good.

In conclusion I will be very honest, "Metamorphosis" is a real good surprise. Well there is nothing very new or original, but these guys are good and their first demo is a good one in the world of the brutal music. Then if you like this kind of music well please give a chance to this young band, they need to be follow because I'm sure when I listen this first recording and when I see the work on this demo that their first "real" cd could be a very good one.
A good young band who must be follow in the future.
