A band coming from Holland, and doesn't play Gothic metal? This got to be something? let's take a walk through the Lunapark.

First, for all of you who are a little rusty in Latin, Festina Lente means "hurry slowly" is like a motto for some people, I think it was Napoleon who told one his maids "dress me slowly, that I'm in a hurry" thus, making famous the expression, but I don't know why this guys picked this as a band name, must be the cool sound, has a nice ring to it.

Anyway, for starters, I like very much the cover art in this one, very nice drawings, never saw something like that in a album of Metal.
Also, the Cd is interactive, has a nice flash intro, and cool extras, like videoclip, photos, lyrics and even Karaoke! That was really funny!

But not everything can be perfect, and behind this solid wall of presentation, is a genre much hated for Metalheads around the globe: Nu-Metal
Yep, this guys are playing the infamous Nu-Metal, angst-driven screams, chugga-chugga guitars, and in-your-face bass lines, but there's a difference here, this guys are having fun doing this, the first song "Lunapark" features a funny voice all through the song, is like one of those "weird foreign guy" voice, I know?is the only thing that came up when I tried to explain it! The singer also do some other funny voices, reminds me of Korn.

Sadly this doesn't make it up for the fact that I don't like Nu-Metal, I think is a repetitive genre, is too overcrowded and has no innovation whatsoever, but in the other hand, this cd is quite enjoyable, not the I-play-it-all-day-and-night enjoyable, but is pretty decent.

Here's the thing, some songs are very cool, like "Lunapark" and "Trance" but others are just plain Nu-Metalish songs, so, if you add there my particular dislike for this kind of music, you could thought that I hate this album, but incredibly I don't.
I don't love it either, but is hard to rate this, so I'm just going to give it a 7, if you like Nu-metal, maybe this can be an 8, if you despise Nu-Metal, well, look it another way.
Fans of Korn and Co., check this one out, and don't forget to play with the karaoke!
