Dear Electronic Gaming Monthly, Gamepro or any other gaming magazine:

I work at a music webzine, we specialize in Heavy Metal and all of its sub-genres, we write in-depth reviews of any artist that can be classified as Heavy Metal, well and some rock sub-genres.

You might be wondering why, me, a respected columnist of the mentioned webzine, is writing to you, mere mortals. The reason is, besides being a frenzied metalhead, I'm also a gamer too. I've been gaming with the different consoles of the market for a long time now, and while RPG's are my favorite genre, I also like sports games, like soccer, skateboard, snowboarding and tennis.

One thing that caught my attention was that while RPG's always characterize for having pompous and bombastic soundtracks, sports games lack the adequate musical atmosphere, and that's why, the reason of my letter.

I received this Cd, a self-released solo album from a Italian guy named Armando Petrini. And why this should concern you? Patience my friends, answers will unveil soon.
Anyway as I was saying, as soon I pushed play the title track of the album began to sound, the first thing that came to my mind was Steve Vai, and some Joe Satriani maybe?

So, if you know either Satriani or Vai, you know with what kind of music we're dealing here, so again, why this should concern you? Let me quote the immortal words of a great man, Martin Luther King Jr.

I HAVE A DREAM? began when I was a kid and I was playing with my Atari 2600, the only sounds that he game emitted was bleeps and beeps, so I dreamt that a day games would sound like real music, but until now I didn't have the slightest idea who might be the one that would carry on such endeavor. Until know.

Armando Petrini makes instrumental music that sounds like? videogames, let's face it the music contained in his solo album "Good Mood" would be perfect for a snowboarding game or a race game, because the music is simple, catchy, and can be easily be put in the background without you even notice it.

Yes, I know this has been a long letter, and you might not publish it on your magazine, but please take the time to listen to this guy, because I found his music rather boring, but if it came with a Cd with games, he might get his chance in the big leagues.

Please take my words into consideration, thank you for taking the time to read this.
