Flesh Grinder is known for their sickening music and their gruesome covers; these Brazilian guys came back in 2005 with a really revolting album called "Coroner's Inquest Suit", and damn they did a good job in the development department. To begin with they now changed the vocal tone; we used to hear raw and deep growls inside Flesh Grinder's albums, now we can hear harmonizers and a couple of other effects used on the vocalizations and there are a lot of other "new" features.

The album begins with a really creepy intro; we can hear some little girls singing a really disturbing song? I'm not sure of what they are saying actually, but damn it's really fucking scary to hear ghostly girls in an album indeed. The music then starts with obese brutality crushing your ears and making them bleed profusely; the overall sound of this CD is Goregrind with catchy melodies here and there, kind of what Carcass used to release in the beginning; though I don't see Flesh Grinder as a Carcass worship band, they still have a lot of different things which makes them sound particularly dissimilar, for example the utter chaos found in most songs and the edgy brutality which is poles apart from Carcass's albums.

You'll find well produced Goregrind in "Coroner's Inquest Suit", for instance the layout which is way too "sparkling" for an underground Goregrind act in my opinion, and that's a good thing actually so don't get me wrong, in fact I think most bands should try "photoshoping" themselves in gory shapes for all of us to see. The mix is clear as a glass of water, so even there the production excels greatly, and believe me it's hard to find a brutal band with clean sound.

There are a couple of repetitive songs in this record, and I actually think 40 minutes of grotesque Goregrind will be hard to digest for many people out there; I love goregrind so I don't mind, but the people who just likes the genre from time to time won't be able to hear the album from the beginning to the end I'm sure. All in all it's a very good release, and I think this time we are hearing an evolved side of Flesh Grinder and that's always a plus; so I recommend this album highly if you are into Goregrind and even more if you like bands like Lymphatic Phlegm, Regurgitate or Dead Infection

Best Tracks: "Hemorragica", "Blood Pus And Gastric Juice", "Putrescine"
