Since Gothic and Doom are two of my favourite genres, I had quite high expectations on this release, even if I never heard about Mighty D. before.
But it's not good to have to high expectations on releases from bands you have never heard of, I have learnt that now.

Mighty D. is five piece band from Germany that mix male vocals with female vocals (just that part made me very interested), in a music that could be called a mix between Death, Doom & Gothic. It might sound strange, but that's the best way to describe the music.
The male vocals are more against the Death Metal and the female more against Opera (there's the Gothic sound), so that wasn't really what I'd hope for, even is the female part is really good.
I can't give you anymore bio of this band, cause all I find is on German, but if you can understand it, you can read about them on their homepage (link in the bottom).

The brightest part of the albums is, as I said earlier, the female vocals part; the beautiful Carmen with her Opera schooled voice saves the album from being to bad, just to bad that she's not used more.
Even if Erik, male vocals, doesn't have a bad voice, it doesn't really fits the music as Carmen does.

The music it self is a really good history, they mix between the genres give it a kind of feeling like there isn't many that plays something like this.
Many great guitar riffs and the drum and bass part is doing great.
Production is great too, done by no other then Achim Köhler. Don't know him?
Well, he produced bands like Primal Fear & Brainstorm too.

So, if you looking for a album that with parts of Death Metal, Doom Metal and some Gothic Metal, this might be the album for you.
I didn't like it, as much I'd hope I would do, but still, it's not a bad album, it's just a matter of taste. It gets a 7 from me, and that's thanks to Carmen.

Favourite Tracks: The last, acoustic song, "Dying Rose", is little of the favourite; cause there does Carmen sings is all. But I think you should choose your own favourite.
