More Death Metal from Xtreem Music! I don't know how this guys come up with so many bands, but as long they're high-quality, is fine with me! Luckily, with Misanthropic I encountered a fine Death Metal act!

Misanthropic was brought to life in 1999 by Mateze (Agathodaimon drummer) Thorsten E. and Oliver S., and was originally intended to be called Vortex, after several differences Oliver left the band. Shortly after Thorsten G., Steffen G. and Long joined the band, and performed under the name of Misanthropic ever since.

What Misanthropic bring us here is a mix of Old School Death Metal with some Melodic Death Metal injected, and a hint of Trash Metal here and there.
I must say I'm really surprised by this result, which turns out to be a fine listen, the tracks are varied and offer a lot of different elements so they won't repeat themselves.

After the Intro, "Restless Life" shows us a little peek of what's going to come, but shortly after, "Fly" comes and kicks me in the face, what a great song, without doubt my favorite song in the album. Other killer songs are "The Play" which alternates between Trashy riffs and good 'ol Death Metal, "The Lie" has a slow, mellow start, but builds and becomes a Death monster. (a Death METAL monster, for anyone that thought that I was watching too many horror movies lately). The album even have a acoustic track "Zwischenpiel" that gives us relief at the middle in the album, calm before the new storm.

A fine listen this album is, Misanthropic may not invented nothing here, but they know how to play Death Metal, that's for sure, recommended to all fans of Death Metal. This guys inject a dose of creativity in a genre so overcrowded with lack of inspiration.
