Guardians Of Time are a Power Metal band hailing from Norway, and they offer us a pretty good mix of Stratovarius and Hammerfall, that's ok for me, I like those bands, besides we don't get enough Power Metal bands from Norway right?

Anyways, like I said before we're dealing with a band playing Power metal á la Stratovarius/Hammerfall, of course that doesn't mean that we're in front of a clone of the aftermentioned bands, Guardians Of Time throw their share of originality in their mix.

The album starts with a small intro,then the first song rips your ears off ("Guardians Of Time") the first thing that attracted me here was the excellent vocal delivery of Bernt, he can reach high notes without sounding girlie, and that's something I appreciate on Power Metal bands!
Other great songs are "High Octane", "Gladiator", "As The Morning Rises" and my personal favorite, "Soul Reaper" a great song, filled to the brim with fantastic riffs and the catchiest chorus on the album.

The thing that makes Guardians Of Time work so well is the fact that they mix the vocal delivery and spirit of Hammerfall with those fantastic speed elements of Stratovarius, the result, this Edge Of Tomorrow.
Of course that the formula is ok for a debut album, I don't expect these guys doing the same thing in their next albums over and over again, they need to find their own sound, they need to mature musically speaking, using influences is usual at first, but then you have to find your own path, I'll be waiting the next release of Guardians Of Time, and then I'll tell you if they made it or no.
