If you don't know what Municipal Waste do by now then, you've either drank the "Mind Eraser" and lost your memories or have never given them the time of the day. Straight-up short, sharp party thrash is the calling card of these Virginia thrashers, and on this EP they give you another round of songs to rage to.

From the mostly instrumental opener of "Wave Of Death" through to the title track, you have four out-and-out thrashers that don't relent until the last drop is spent. Given it's four songs long, the EP is short on variety, but it tries to cover up this fact by flying by at full speed and finishing not long after starting. Clocking it at just over ten minutes, it's a quick listen.

In its brevity, the band manage to cram in a lot of their trademark sound and identity; from Foresta's trademark shout to Ryan Waste's run through the band's brand of riffage. it's all contained within. Will any of the tracks go on to be classics from the band? Doubtful; while it is strong, the band have done much better in the past (and one would hope in the future too), but it is far from their worst music.

Is it recommended listening? Well, if you have a spare ten minutes and you want to get the adrenaline pumping then it's ideal. In the grand scheme of things, it's another [Band]Municipal Waste[/band] release, not reaching the heights of the Hazardous Mutation days but a step up from the previous Slime And Punishment album.
