A year after their debut demo, the young Doom band from the land of the thousand lakes releases their second one, "Serpent Scripts".
And it has happen things since last time we heard from them, they have evolved, strange huh? Not really, since the average-age in the band is only 19.8 the guys still evolve a lot.
It's quite easy to hear that they done so now, the music is played much more secure, they are better of using their instruments, and the music in overall feels more mature.

But it's not only the music that's better, the production is much better (it wasn't really bad on the first one, but it's a big difference), the sound isn't so low here, and I appreciate that.
The jewel-case is more professional this time too, and the cover art is better, even if I don't like that much, be hey, we all have different taste.

The lyrics are as poetic as in the first one, but the music, I think, have taken one more step forward, it's not that slow and depressive anymore (of course it's sad, but it's "faster" than the first one) and it seems that the band chosen a little different path on their journey this time, even if it's still Doom, good Doom Metal.
The Black Metal growls got more space this time too, and the band also included some lines in Finnish, and that's a good move, I have to say, since Finnish and Growls sounds very raw together.

Overall the music is still somewhere in a land of early My Dying Bride, even in The Lust I Seek is starting to move against another target, hopefully a own land, where they develop their own music. We who lives will see.
Finally I will say that I liked their first Demo but I like this even more, the originality is more visible here and it sounds more professional.
They are getting nearer and nearer a contract now, if this demo doesn't give them one, I'm sure the next will.

Favourite Songs: Too hard to chose, so I say all.
