Glenrock is an Hard Rock combo from France and they are not newcomers? The story of the band start in 1983 when Philippe SUAN and Michel PAZGRAT start to play music in two bands PEACEFUL DEVILS and DUEL. In 1996 Michel & Philippe decided to create a new Hard Rock band once again called GlenRock [influenced by scotch whisky and the valley of the Meuse, where they're from]. After a first album in 1999 "Colours Of Life" the band is back today with their new release "3 Minutes of Silence" and always the same motto, "Have some fun & long live Rock n'Roll"?

All the French metal heads will understand of which music I'm talking about when I will give these two names, Killers and Trust. Yeah the music of Glenrock is in the vein of these two older from France, it's pure Hard Rock with some touch of Heavy Metal. And this new album of the combo is a good surprise for the ones who like such music. Powerful in general with good guitars solo, good lyrics and good vocals, and a lot of catchy melodies "3 Minutes of Silence" is a must have for all the ones who like old school music. Some songs are very heavy some others are more "soft" but in general it's good to listen to this band. The production is really good too, really the sound is perfect there is not any problems of mixing or anything else.
My only regret with this cd come from the fact that there is some inequality in the songs of the album. Some are damn efficient damn catchy and some others a bit more boring, but well in general the good quality of the "good" songs remove this feeling.

"3 Minutes of Silence" is maybe not the more original cd of the year but well it's not too bad and interesting if you like Hard Rock. If you are a fan of this kind of music you should have a look on this album which will not be the masterpiece of the year but for sure one of these albums which smells the music made with hearth instead of the one made for money?
