When we talk about Black Metal, in general we think about all those countries from the North of Europe and even now from France... But Black Metal from Spain that's not really common and yet there is also a Black Metal scene in Spain, and Foscor a band from Barcelona is one of these bands of the Spanish Black Metal scene.

For a first album, I must admit that this not bad at all. There is nothing new that's the bad point of this album in my opinion, but however Foscor plays a classic Black Metal which is well done. Yeah, with Foscor we aren't in this new musical wave that a ton of Black Metal bands follow nowadays. This album don't smell the commercial stuff which is released to make money and to touch a lot of people. No with Foscor we are more in the vein of the classic Black Metal bands and I'm sure that a lot of Black Metal lovers could be interested by this news. "Entrance To The Shadows' Village" that's true Black Metal.
The voice of the singer is the real good point of the band, very tortured and in the pure tradition of Black Metal, the singer of the band knows how to sing for sure. The others musicians aren't bad too, and the melodies of the album are well structured and then catchy.
Some time we can even listen to some parts and some breaks in the songs which remind me some parts of the music of a band like Himinbjorg, something a bit tribal, and that's good in my opinion.
The production is also in the pure vein of Black Metal not very clean but however good for Black Metal album. Same for the artwork and the booklet which are of a good quality?
My only problem in fact for that album, don't come from the quality, but from the originality. I have the feeling that we already listened to this kind of band too many times. This lack of originality is certainly the problem for a lot of Black Metal bands, and really I think that a band like Foscor will have to find something for its music if he don't want to stay in the underground?

As a conclusion, I will recommend this album to all the fans of true Black Metal and to all of you who want to taste Black Metal from Spain. Personally I can't say anything wrong on this album but it's hard for me to find something really good too. But well this is a first album and I suppose that with some maturity in the compositions, in addition we could have something really interesting in the future.
