Don't even think about asking why I review this album, and even worse, add the review here on Metal Storm. I guess I'm only very stupid or very nice today (depends how you look upon it).
But here it is, the debut of the English Rock band Vero, which plays music in the veins of bands like Creed, U2 & Incubus.

The trio from Essex delivers their first full-length album within this release, but they actually had a quite big hit with the single of "How Does it Feel" a time back, and of course is that song included on this album.
So I guess many of you from U.K. recognize this band, if not from the name, at least from that song.

For me, this material is a little weak and a bit to commercial, but sure some of the songs are quite ok, if I feel for a Metal free evening (that happens like twice per year), but otherwise it's not my type of music. The popish feeling is a little to present and you can easily hear that they music is made for the radio, the production is soft and perfect for radio, and with the right ads I'm sure that this album would sell very well in popish countries, maybe even USA, but I guess they'll never get a chance there to break into that market, at least not yet.

I read in other reviews, of sites and reviewers that's more for this kind of music and the album is prized everywhere, the lowest score I seen is an 8, and that's not bad for an debut.
But they will not gather so much from me, because of the reason I mentioned earlier, but their score will be decent, because even if the music really don't fit me, it's easy to hear that they got potential and that the music is well-written, and I guess, if they keep it up, they'll have a chance to strike pretty hard, not only in the U.K.

So fans of Popish Rock, such as US and maybe even Creed should look it up, maybe this would fit you perfectly, but if you, what so ever, don't have any interest in those bands, just look away and try something else.
