Last year, I wrote the review of the first Demo of Stigma, a young and aggressive combo from Italy. The demo was really good and promising, maybe not perfect regarding the recording, but it was original and yeah I was expecting something good for their future? That's not a surprise then, to see today that they got a deal recently with an Italian label, and that they just did their come back with a new EP, "Epitaph Of Pain".

Honestly, I cannot talk a lot about this really "short" EP ? Only two songs for seven mins of music that's a bit short and I suppose that you understand me but however, I can say that the band is improving his music, that's really impressive. The two songs are lot more mature and complex, the band didn't forget its own particular style, a fast Death Metal near of Grindcore and with some little touches of Hardcore, but now all that is a lot more complex and deeper. On a side, I think that the band can be compared to a "violent" The Haunted but with some sonority near of Grindcore. Like their first Demo, this EP follows the same road to the success. The music is original and it gives me some serious hopes for their future.

Also the production is definitely better this time (that's the other good point of this CD), the sound is clean like water no problem of recording (I suppose that Mr Ettore Rigotti of Disarmunia Mundi helped them a lot) and the enhanced CD with all the info that you can expect is well done, and shows one more time that our guys have taste?

This EP, is short really, but when I listen to it, I'm sure of one thing, this band is still improving and yeah now I'm sure that their first album, which will come soon, will be a killer CD. I believe in them really, "Epitaph Of Pain" is a new proof of their talent.
