Brutal Death Metal can be a really experimental genre; in fact this genre stands for bands like Suffocation, Necrophagist, Spawn Of Possession, etc. Defeated Sanity is a Brutal Death Metal band with a lot of good songs, and now they belong to the experimentation list.
This German band sounds like "Emeth" in the brutality issue, they add some "Suffocation" riffs in a couple of tracks, and then they finally give a "Fleshgrind" feeling towards the beats and atmosphere. So fortunately they are not hideously Technical or skilled as fuck instead this band adds cool bridges and many twists in the music. This band focuses in giving Brutal Death Metal to the audience, and they do an awesome job actually, they have very catchy riffs all over the album, and they don't hesitate to add some pauses and breakdowns here and there.
Generally speaking the music is really good, half an hour of pure aggression and brutality. If you are looking for experimental bands with long as fuck intros and crazy ascending Bass-lines, you'll hate this album, but if you are looking for straight shots to the head, pounding beats, and if you are willing to hear an album filled with Brutal Death Metal riffs, cool breakdowns, brutal as hell Drum Beats and violent music in general, Defeated Sanity is just for you.
This album is good; I really like the way "Defeated Sanity" manages to create straight forwarded Brutal Death Metal with some technical overtones, so this band has really good things to offer, I enjoyed this experience a lot, and I'm sure more than one will love the content of this record for sure.
