This amazingly brutal Split CD was originally released back in 1997 if I'm not mistaken (the piece I have in my hands is the re-issued material); the aforementioned fact is something that keeps my brain busy all the time, almost a decade later this Split is still one of the most sickening and extremely brutal experiences in Goregrind music.

I'm not an avid fan of Split CD's, I prefer Full Lengths if you know what I mean, it's quite common to hear a Split with a great band but with a really sucky b-side right? fortunately we have here two of the most disgusting and praised bands in the underground scene. Malignant Tumour opens the Split with their usual Punky/Gore catapult, fast as hell music with one of the lowest and scariest gurgles I've ever heard; this side creates a very atrocious mood so to speak, every single track is a head-banging machine with simplistic songwriting and basic rhythms. These guys focused on the brutality more than in the complex musicianship, so in the end you'll get a very intense and hostile Goregrind experience.

28 tracks later Squash Bowels appears, damn this is one hell of a side to say the least; this band just enters and does what they are used to, they throw one of the most amazing mixtures in the Goregrind scene, fast as hell music, brutal rhythms and aggressive drumming collide with multifaceted structures and catchy riffs. This is not the best stage of this band to be honest, they evolved into a versatile band with complex songwriting, irregular beats and all those things, but still, this attack is really fucking brutal and it shows a rawer side of this Polish band.

This Split is a classic piece in the genre; if you're an avid fan of Goregrind and you're looking for something really brutal that your ears will barely embrace and you don't mind a lousy production, this Split is something you need to hear, two of the most aggressive bands you'll ever get to hear.
