Welcome welcome to the review of the new album Day Eleven a band from Finland which clearly sounds like an American combo! Strange isn't it? In general all the Finnish Metal acts play Metal which clearly sound "Finnish" but after all they probably have some "Metal Anarchists" there, you know these kind of people who decide to play something which doesn't follows the trends of their country of origin. With "Sleepwalkers" I think that the fans of Alternative music will discover something good for them. No really I'm highly impressed here!

"Sleepwalkers" is an album of Alternative Metal. The music of the band sounds modern a bit like with all these American bands which are Tool (without their depressive aspect), A Perfect Circle, Incubus or even Grunge bands. It's not nu metal too but more like an energetic rock full of good ideas and extremely deep musically speaking (with guitars solis and complex choruses etc) . In "Sleepwalkers" you'll find Pop melodies but also Metalcore ones and even Progressive lines though in any way it's something easy and commercial. Well, it's easy of access maybe because for sure the melodies and riffs are really catchy (they're sometime powerful, some other time melancholic) but honestly I don't have the feeling that Day Eleven has just tried to produce music for radios. Their Metal seems to be honest and to close this debate I will only say that it's a nice modern Metal, a nice Alternative music.

It's surprising to read that the band comes from Finland because their music is really influenced by United State but well who care after all? Janne Pajari as a perfect English accent and the other guys anyway are solid musicians. The production of "Sleepwalkers" is perfect, the cover is amazing, for a second album it's a total success and for sure Day Eleven will be able to become famous (in the USA too in my opinion) with the help of this album.

If you like classy modern Metal, if you like Grunge and Alterntive Metal, don't miss this release. Day Eleven is a promising combo and I'm sure that the fans of the genre will quickly understand that they're in front of a new potential leader of this musical genre. Have a look on this album and you'll see that I'm not wrong.
