So, the imagery speaks for itself, we have here a good crafted album of a well known Mexican band...at least well known in Mexico for that matter...enclosed we'll find Death Metal that taps Behemoth's veins, it's a darkened version of Brutal Death Metal with a lot of mysticism in their lyrics and tones.

The band surely has a great vision of Metal, their somehow "unpolished" sounds kills most of the ideas but overall the music is well played and interesting enough to keep your ears pointing to the speakers. The riffing is quite catchy, the execution is of course very brutal and the atmosphere has a very intense vibe with dark gothy colors in black and purple...very "Ann Rice".

Once the album ends you won't be feeling smarter or with that odd sense of "rebirth" that cult albums create; this band doesn't makes the most outstanding effort ever to hit the scene, but they deliver the goodies and they deliver huge amounts of them, songs like "Al Azif" or "Among Deads" are the perfect way to start a cultural riot with spears and gasoline torches, the whole album has a very violent force that will surely scare the living jesus out of your neighbors and that's what this record is all about, being brutal no matter how structures sound, it's weird but it will surely work for some people.

This piece is far from being original, but it's a nice listen if you're into the genre actually, I still prefer the Mexican touch of bands like [b]Yaotl Mictlan[b] for example, but this one is a good specimen of straight metal born only to destroy your neck, if you have some extra time and pocket money and if you are willing to hear sloppy but effective Mexican Metal, try this one out.
