I really like the Portuguese label Equilibrium because in general they give me the chance to take some real Metal holidays! All their bands are folk and "dark music" ones in general and since that they have some good musical tastes, we're rarely disappointed. One of their last signatures, Poets To The Beloved, a duet which comes from The Netherland and Germany, follows this good quality trend and I'm sure that the people who want to listen to nice peaceful music will enjoy a lot this first album.

"Embrace The Fool" is a bit like the release of some modern troubadours. Don't expect anything Metal here (except in the spirit of the music), all the tracks of the album are folk acoustic songs. It's really good with a nice romantic but dark spirit and since that the voices of Saskia Dommisse of Marcel Schibor (without being wonderful too) are really good and fits perfectly to the music, I'm sure that you'll have a lot of good emotions while you'll listen to the album. On the other hand you must be warned, "Embrace The Fool" is a really peaceful album and this is more a matter of ambiances than rhythm of course. Though Poets To The Beloved is a good band and its two members knew how to write songs which are touching anc catchy.

The production, the artwork, the sound (etc) are excellent. The acoustic sound doesn't suffer of any problem and the album is never boring. Though of course you must be into this kind of music and be a bit open minded if you want to enjoy it. But don't worry it's cool music, peaceful yes, but it will be a good break for all the ones who only listen to violent stuff during the week!

"Embrace The Fool" is a great first release. Not as good as the last Antimatter maybe but still really convincing. I hope that you'll have a look on this album because it's full of good ideas and nice melodies, so if you're into Folk and Ethereal music, don't wait anymore, the first album of Poets To The Beloved is a must!

It seems Im not much interested in this kind of music. I was impressed first, but then by time, I feel bored. I feel Deep Trip is better.

It's taken me awhile to really appreciate how great this release is - lyrically it's near poetic art, and its mood is so longing and haunting I cannot stop listening to some of the vocal lines. I think the lyrics would be emotionally intriguing on their own, but when Saskia and Marcel sing them, it's even more than can be described at times for me!

In "Love," Saskia sings one of the most brooding romantic verses I know, and I think for any fan of darker or deeper female vocals, she is a sure thing. And Marcel's vocalwork is great, but it's his acoustic guitar passages that shine most for me. It took me a good 3-4 months to totally immerse myself in the atmospheres of this album, but it's a rewarding one, particularly for anyone with a somber or dark view of love and relationships. I hope more people read this review
