Figure Of Six comes from Italy and the band is a new member of the Metalcore and Gothenburg family. "Aion" is the second album of the combo and even if there is absolutely nothing new and original in this album, I have to admit that "Aion" is not a bad album of Metalcore a bit commercial right but the fans of the genre will probably like it.

We always have the same problem with the bands which play such kind of music, it's never horrible and bad but it's hard to find something special. All the songs are a bit the same it's always the same melodies, the same rhythms the same? music. The originality is one more time the main problem of "Aion" because it's hard to find bad points on this album but it's hard to find the little thing which will turn this release into a masterpiece. However the guys have some good ideas and as an example, the Keyboards (a bit like with In Flames on their last albums) are really important and that's not bad thing. In the end we have good but commercial riffs and choruses that are right but we also have some really good dark electronic ambiances produced by the keyboards. Some of you will probably say that Figure Of Six is a new band made for radio, and they're probably not so wrong, but obviously the band has good ideas and they sound modern. I'm quite sure that these songs will work pretty well during the live performances!

Despite its totally lack of originality, "Aion" is perfectly produced and I really think that the band is "mature". What I want to say here is that their sound is really solid nonetheless and this album doesn't sound like something played by newcomers. I just hope for Figure Of Six that they will be able to be a bit more original and play something more personal in the future. Right now I'm sure that a lot of people will simply avoid to listen to this release in reason of its similarity with a ton of other bands and because this is definitely too FM for them. Anyway "Aion" is not a terrible and has some good moments so if you're still not bored by all these bands I think that you'll like to listen to "it.

Nothing surprising here but at least Figure Of Six is definitely not the worst band of the category, at the opposite they're even promising. Let's keep in mind that it's only a second album and maybe that the band will surprise us in the future. They will have to do it anyway because if "Aion" is not a bad album, this is not a revelation too. "Aion" is perfect for the fans of the genre but the band will have to find its own personality to become famous. They can do it in my opinion, so who know maybe that we will hear some good things about them soon?
