Take two members of H-Bomb and one member of Vulcain and you have a new combo, Mr Jack. Maybe that you don't know or remember those two bands but they were really famous in France during the 80's and it's cool to see this meeting and this first album through a new name.

With "Jack' N Roll" you'll be able to listen to cool powerful Rock N Roll, definitely our three members are inspired by old school music and bands like AC/DC (among many others of course). The album is cool and full of dancing songs and I'm sure that a lot of old fans of the 80's will like the album. Sure there is absolutely nothing new here but it's just Hard Rock and not something Heavy a la 80's French sauce which can be really outdated now. This is the good point of "Jack' N Roll", the album is just a new release of Hard Rock but the band didn't do something outdated, this kind of music being "immortal". On the other hand if you have a lot of cool riffs and some nice bluesy guitar soli, there is also nothing especially new here so don't expect something transcending with this release. This is just good Hard, unoriginal as hell but well done and with French lyrics.

The production of "Jack' N Roll" is not so bad, not perfect too but even if it's not perfectly mixed this is really correct in the end. The three guys are ok the music is well played but you'll have to like the vocals of Daniel Puzio which can be a bit disturbing if you're not into old school French metal. Though at least here Daniel has a real Hard Rock voice whish is not so bad even if you're not into this kind of French singers. No really "Jack' N Roll" is a cool album of Hard Rock there is absolutely nothing new and surprising here but obviously the guys wanted to do something for fun and they've managed to write a good album.

Hard to say that "Jack' N Roll" will become a successful album, I'm sure that the fans of the old French Metal generation or the people who like Hard Rock will like this album but unfortunately a lot of other metalheads will just forget this release after some few time in reason of its big unoriginality and its old school spirit. Is it problematic? I don't think so, the guys of Mr Jack play their music like they like to do and in the end I can only respect them for that.
